For Students

The Career Service supports you with career orientation, work experience and your application

Perfectly accompanied

The Career Service bridges the gap between studies, practice and career and supports you starting with career orientation to answer the questions "what do I want and what can I do?", offers insights into job profiles like "what exactly does a development engineer, a key account manager or a collection curator do?" and provides application knowledge.

There are no consultation hours during the semester break. Please contact us by e-mail for small inquiries. For detailed consultations, please make an appointment.

For an application document check, please send us your CV, cover letter and corresponding job advertisement and book an appointment.  Further appointments are available as group consultations. The employment agency also offers application document checks (see below).

For other consulting or coaching requests, please send us an e-mail. As experienced advisors in career and study guidance, we are happy to support you individually and personally with the following issues:

  • consulting and coaching on the topics of career orientation, personal changes and skills profile
  • assistance in finding suitable offers for internships, final theses and entry-level positions as well as

Job application knowledge

Before you start looking for job adverts, you should first clarify your goals, wishes and personal profile . This is not just about professional knowledge and qualifications, but also about personality, interests, experience and commitment. This is why every application phase begins with career orientation.

Info portal

Career paths - business, science and start-ups

In order to be able to make a good career decision regarding "business, science or self-employment", you need a good information base, time for reflection and also advice. You should systematically examine career-related and personal aspects for this decision and work out the criteria that are relevant to your decision. Your values, motivations, life expectations and life situation play just as important a role as your skills profile, your qualifications and the requirements of the new job.

Also reflect on which pull and push factors you have within you. What are your wishes and what are the wishes of those around you? Is one path simply easier, more practical and currently safer?
