The applicant consultation hour offers participants the opportunity to deal intensively and with professional support with their respective application or job situation. Various questions can arise both when (re)entering working life and in the event of fundamental changes in career direction. These are discussed together with the participants, a personal (re)entry or change strategy is developed and categorised by the HR and people & culture background of the lecturer.
This can include, among other things, becoming (re)aware of one's own strengths and competences by means of realistic reflection and self-assessment, developing strategies and systems with regard to preparation and implementation in the application phase, being more successful with written application documents (plus business networks) and being convincing in personal appearances at job interviews.
Fear reduction mechanisms and the proactive avoidance of common mistakes (do's and don'ts in the application process) can be discussed and practised using simulations and role plays. Short questions for analysing and checking up on application documents are also possible in the applicant consultation hour.
The programme is aimed at students of all semesters and subject areas as well as guest students.
Note: Limited number of participants! It is essential to register in advance at least one week before the event by e-mail at desiree.behrens@sz.uni-stuttgart.de. Time slots will be allocated individually, the link for participation will be sent after registration.
