Students2Startup

Interdisciplinary key qualification

The interdisciplinary key qualification Student2Startup combines academic study and entrepreneurial practice. Students take on the role of management consultants. They work on real issues faced by start-ups, which are presented at the start of the project during the kick-off meeting. Typical tasks include market entry strategies, pricing models and internationalisation approaches.

The work is carried out in interdisciplinary teams over several weeks. The teams organise their work process independently. The team communicates regularly with the ‘client’ from the start-up and the mentor from the business world in order to advance the project.

At the end, the teams present their results to all participants. The presentation serves as a reflection and comparison of different approaches to solutions. At the same time, the start-ups receive concrete, actionable ideas.

Student2Startup takes place every winter semester. The format is open to students from all disciplines. It is a joint offering from TRACES, the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI) and the Wissensfabrik.
