Offers for employees interested in founding a start-up
The TRACES Entrepreneurship Team supports researchers and staff of the University of Stuttgart on their journey from research results to application – through individual coaching, transfer formats and cooperation offers.
In this lecture series, experts from the business world and start-up scene provide exciting insights into the topics of transfer, innovation, founding and start-ups on a weekly basis. Each week, a new focus topic is presented – practical and inspiring.
Dates: Every Wednesday during the winter semester in Lecture Hall 47.03, Pfaffenwaldring 47, University of Stuttgart.
Organisers: Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI) and TRACES.
Department 15, Knowledge and Technology Transfer, is a central service facility at the University of Stuttgart. It provides free advice on the recording, management and commercialisation of inventions, property rights and other intellectual property, such as software. Its services range from early-stage advice to the negotiation of licence agreements.
The University of Stuttgart offers many opportunities to turn creativity into reality outside the lecture hall. In makerspaces and workshops, students can bring their ideas to life thanks to the wide range of equipment and tools available and discuss their projects with other creative minds. There are also opportunities for start-up teams to use free co-working spaces and office rooms.

Anchoring career guidance in teaching
Would you like to inform your students about our events and Career Service offerings? Then please send an email to christine.kispert@traces.uni-stuttgart.de with the subject line ‘Infoletter’ to receive the newsletter. We send this out once per semester.
Alternatively, you can also find our posters and slides in the Ilias course: Com-Career Service.
The Career Service offers the opportunity to organise application portfolio reviews, short presentations or workshops at your faculty. With a little advance notice, larger events such as company contact fairs with 4-10 employers, role model events or excursions to employers are also possible. Please feel free to contact us.
How can the specialist skills of academic disciplines be made usable for different applications outside the academic field? The Career Service supports you with expertise in developing employability concepts and strengthening the employability of your students: Whether you are a dean of studies or module coordinator designing your course offerings, whether you are a lecturer who wants to make your seminars or lectures more application-oriented, whether you are an internship coordinator who wants to support your students, or whether you are simply interested in preparing your students for the world of work in the best possible way – at the Career Service you will find:
- Expertise and application models for positioning and anchoring employability in your teaching
- Support with (re-)accreditations
- Learning and networking opportunities, and also
- Suggestions for integrating existing Career Service formats into your study programme.
The Deutschlandstipendium is a merit-based scholarship. In addition to grade point average, so-called ‘soft factors’ are also taken into account when awarding scholarships. These include, for example, internships, voluntary work, but also circumstances that have had a negative impact on the applicant's educational background to date.
As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to support our best students in their studies. At the annual ceremony, the scholarship certificates are presented and you have the opportunity to meet the students who have received funding.
