Job portal & company contact fairs

There are a number of ways to get in touch with students at the University of Stuttgart.

  • The University of Stuttgart's official online job portal,Stellenwerk, offers space for your job vacancies, internships and company profiles.
  • Internships, theses and job vacancies, especially from small and medium-sized companies that are specifically aimed at female students or graduates in the fields of natural sciences and engineering, can be published free of charge in the PraktikumsInfoBörse. You can submit your offer directly via our online form.
  • Internships specifically for students of humanities and social sciences can be published on Studium-Praktikum-Beruf, the internship exchange of the Central Student Advisory Service at the University of Stuttgart. Please send your job advertisement directly to spb@uni-stuttgart.de.
  • The Career Service will be happy to forward your job advertisement to the relevant faculties and institutes at the University of Stuttgart, as well as to the student groups of our student council, and publish the position on Instagram. To do so, please send a PDF and a JPEG file to careerservice-scouting@traces.uni-stuttgart.de.
  • Every spring, the student initiative bonding organises the largest company contact fair on the campus of the University of Stuttgart. Use this platform to get in touch with our students across disciplines and inform them about internships and entry-level opportunities.
  • The SimTech Cluster of Excellence regularly organises the SimTech company contact fair in collaboration with the SimTech specialist group and the Society of Simulation Technology. Industry representatives from the field of simulation technology can network with students and graduates here.
  • The Computer Science Career Fair takes place about twice a year. Here, companies from the field of information processing can get in touch with students or exchange ideas with scientists on current research topics and explore possible collaborations.
  • The Aerospace Engineering Student Council at the University of Stuttgart organises the annual StepIN. In addition to personal exchanges with students, there is also the opportunity to give a short presentation.

Employer Branding

Your stage for visibility and exchange: Here you can choose suitable formats and approaches – nothing suitable? We will find an individual solution, just get in touch!

Meet where talent learns and grows. We bring you together with students from relevant disciplines in dialogue-oriented formats. Whether engineering or natural sciences, architecture or humanities and social sciences – with our

roadshows and company presentations,
we bring you exactly where your future employees are studying today: in the relevant faculties or at central locations at the University of Stuttgart. Instead of scattering our efforts, we focus on proximity and create direct access for you to qualified talent in their specialist context.

In addition to a classic information stand, you can book an extended advertising package and a tailor-made accompanying programme, e.g.:

  • Speed job talks – short, intensive conversations
  • Application document checks – with real added value for students and exciting insights for you
  • Practical insights & inspiration – from employees of your company or through small workshops

The result: visibility, an ideal setting for sustainable employer branding and early contact with potential applicants.

The price: The basic presentation costs between €500 and €900. The exact prices depend on the space required, the duration, the level of support provided by the university, and the type of company. Our goal is to offer fair conditions for everyone. That is why non-profit organisations and NGOs generally pay less than large corporations. You can find a price overview for all formats here.

Real insights. Honest stories. Inspiring encounters.

Students entering the workforce are not looking for perfect CVs – they are looking for authentic guidance. This is exactly where our role model events come in:

In our ‘Job Talks’ people from the field report on and highlight areas in which students with the same or similar degrees could work. The aim is to give our students insights into various fields of activity and career paths, as well as valuable tips for starting their careers. By introducing different role models who talk about their everyday working lives, their career paths, individual strategies and challenges in their training and professional lives, and provide insights into their corporate culture, students gain an insight into different areas and learn first-hand that every career path is individual and does not always follow a straight line. Role model formats offer a safe space for conversations on an equal footing.

Program

  • Welcome & introduction, including a brief presentation of the employer
  • Speed dating format: students rotate between tables with different role models every 10 minutes
  • Open networking ‘Meet & Talk’
  • Contact forms for further discussions
  • Job wall

Number of participants: 20-60

The event will be promoted by the Career Service. In addition, a report on the event will be published afterwards, along with quotes from the role models.

We would be delighted if your company or institution would nominate and send us employees – for example, trainees, young professionals or people with exciting career paths – who we can add to our pool of role models. This will enable us to approach them specifically at events at relevant faculties.

The advantages for you: approachable presence – your employees speak as people, not as HR representatives – which leaves a lasting impression, as well as visibility, employer branding and networking.

The idea behind the Alumni Talks is to invite alumnae and alumni to share insights from their professional experience and illustrate the range of career paths open to graduates of the same degree program. Through these interviews, our students and doctoral researchers gain valuable insights into different fields of work, career trajectories, and receive practical advice for starting their professional careers.

The interviews will be published on our website, organized by faculty and, in some cases, by degree program. To make the interviews even more engaging, we would appreciate it if you could upload a photo of yourself along with your answers via the portal.

Thank you for supporting this initiative!

Here you can find the interview questions, which will take about 20 minutes to complete: Alumni Talk

The Deutschlandstipendium is a merit-based scholarship. In addition to academic performance, so-called “soft factors” are also considered in the selection process. These include, for example, internships, volunteer work, as well as personal circumstances that may have posed challenges in the educational journey so far.

As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to support our most outstanding students in pursuing their academic goals. During the annual award ceremony, the scholarship certificates are presented, and you will have the chance to meet the sponsored students in person.
