Start-up talks instead of lecture theatres. Networking instead of swapping business cards. And all with your feet in the sand.
On 6 July 2026, TRACES and TTI are hosting the University of Stuttgart’s first Founders BBQ.
The event is open to students, those interested in starting a business, start-ups, alumni and anyone who’d like to meet people from Stuttgart’s innovation and start-up ecosystem.
Look forward to a relaxed summer’s afternoon with cool drinks, barbecue food and plenty of opportunities for good conversations. The focus is on exchange, making new contacts and the people behind the ideas.
In addition, three successful founders from the University of Stuttgart’s community will share personal insights into their journeys:
• Jochen Engert (Flixbus) – “How to Disrupt Deutsche Bahn”
• Maike Lambert (Cyclize) – “Resilient Carbon: From the Lab Bench to Industrial Reality”
• Ralph Gulde (Sereact) – “From a Stuttgart Idea to a Global Robotics Company”
