Representatives from MULTIVAC visited the University of Stuttgart on February 11. The aim of the almost full-day visit was to get to know each other, present research infrastructures, and exchange expertise on previously defined key topics with a view to possible cooperation prospects.
As part of the program, the MULTIVAC delegation visited three institutes at the University of Stuttgart: the Institute for Conveying Technology and Logistics (IFT), the Institute for Control Engineering of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Units (ISW), and the Institute for Plastics Technology (IKT). The visit was complemented by an exchange at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA).
In addition to laboratory tours and institute presentations, the focus was on intensive technical discussions. The visit lasted from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and culminated in a joint final discussion in which the further course of action and possible next steps were discussed in principle.
The networking between MULTIVAC and the participating institutes as well as the coordination of the visit were handled by Tamara Arutyunyants from the Business Relations department at the TRACES Transfer Center.
